Teak is a dream wood to work with when you’re looking to create beautiful all weather furniture, and with a marine history of its own, it looks beautiful next to any dock. Teak is a perfect material for outdoor furniture (sunbeds and loungers included), and is famous for the weather resistance and good looks it has shown over the last several centuries in use. Teak offers sun and UV resistance, weathers evenly and comes with a proud and handsome patina that takes on a beautiful silvery sheen over time. In your own dockside space, teak wood offers very low maintenance in relation to other hardwoods and represents a lifetime purchase, that shouldn’t ever need replacement. Teak also does not contain the same inclusions and undesirable elements of the lesser quality wood in the tree, and is also incredibly dense, with natural oils and rubber compounds and silica present within the wood itself. There are century-old marine teak park benches dotted all over Europe made from dismantled ships – a sure fire testament to the durability of the much-loved wood!

When it comes to all things seafaring, did you know the stainless steel we use is actually marine grade? Not just any stainless, 316 Stainless Steel is another perfect material for all weather, dockside furniture thanks to its good looks and long lasting resistance to corrosion. We feature 316 Stainless Steel heavily in our range of furniture, due largely to the fact that it is marine quality and thus deters rust, and other damage. It also looks absolutely incredible, and is easy to maintain. Marine Grade stainless steel, as many in the industry know 316, is the top echelon of grading within the category of stainless steels that are used for the outdoor furniture industry. 316 Stainless Steel is more resistant to pitting, scratching and rusting, and its surface finish capabilities also allow a beautiful micro polished or micro-brushed finish to be applied to the stainless for long-term good looks. Cleaned and maintained regularly, this hardy material will also continue to provide the same attractive qualities you saw when you originally purchased your outdoor furniture.

Our Summer Stainless Steel and Batyline Sun Lounger is an essential piece, and looks spectacular dockside, on the deck or patio. The beautiful, slim and shapely 316 marine grade stainless steel lounger is covered in decadent, but versatile Batyline fabric, a stretchy but resilient fabric made for full-time outdoor use. The fabric works perfectly with the smooth, micro-polished look of the 316 marine grade stainless steel, a far superior alternative to lesser quality stainless steel grades (like the common 304). The comfort, incredible looks and versatility of this outdoor lounger make it a great choice, where cushions won’t be necessary, or where you truly want the most contemporary look.
Powder coated aluminium is our material of choice for our lightest weight outdoor furniture, and perfect for moving around from dock to yacht, home and beyond. The base aluminium is coated with polyester micro particles in colours that perfectly complement the furniture’s other attributes; the resulting finish keeps the furniture looking like new for many years. Even though aluminium doesn’t rust like steel can, powder-coating offers the same oxidation protection as on our steel furniture.
