Spend Spring on a Chaise Longue
At Design Warehouse, we love the look and feel of a chaise, and apart from the iconic daybed, no piece of furniture says “rest and relaxation” more than a chaise longue (or lounge, depending on who you talk to!). We love them for snuggling up on at any time of year, but with Spring on the horizon we’re envisaging warmer mornings and slightly less chilly nights on which to just… lie back and do nothing
With origins in the sixteenth century, the chaise longue continues to be associated with court furniture, on which one used to spend long hours reading books or just relaxing, in utmost style. Undoubtedly a piece of furniture aimed at comfort, the chaise serves for relaxation and contemplation and is a style that works just as well indoors as it does out. And they are especially handy in Spring, when luxuriating in the lead up to Summer is a pastime in itself.
With an appearance alone that makes you feel like laying down and putting your feet up, the classic chaise longue design allows you to rest comfortably in a half-sitting position. This characteristic shape allows you to not only to rest your back comfortably, but also to straighten your legs.
