Use of Website

The use of the website designwarehouse.co.nz is governed by the following terms and conditions. Your use and/or purchase of products from the site constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by these terms and conditions.

Product Availability

While we make every effort to accurately display product inventory and descriptions, we do not warrant that all information is error-free. We will notify you directly if a product’s availability changes.

Pricing Policy

All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Prices and availability are subject to change. We reserve the right to correct any errors in pricing or descriptions and may restrict orders of affected items.

Refunds / Change of Mind Policy

  • Change of Mind: We do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind.
  • Notification of Return: Notify us within 48 hours of receipt if you wish to return a product due to a defect, to allow us to approve and process your return efficiently.
  • Return Window: Approved items should be returned within 7 days of receipt.
  • Condition for Return: Items must be in “as new condition” – unopened, unused, and in original packaging.
  • Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is defective.
  • Exclusions: No credits/exchanges for clearance, seconds, or ex-floor models.

Definitions

  • Change of Mind: A decision by the customer to return a product that is not due to a defect or fault in the product.
  • Defects: Imperfections that impair the product’s use, including manufacturing faults or damage incurred during shipping.
  • As New Condition: The product remains in the state it was sold, unopened, unused, and with all original packaging and accessories.

Furniture Warranty

We offer a limited two-year warranty on furniture from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship. Excludes items sold as seconds.

  • This warranty does not apply to any cases of normal wear and tear of the furniture. Normal wear and tear are defined as “the normal deterioration caused by regular use of the furniture and/or exposure to the outdoor elements.”
  • This warranty does not cover any damage or loss or condition that is beyond the control of Design Warehouse including but not limited to cases of unauthorised repair, modifications after purchase, improper use, infestation, negligence, misuse, vandalism, wind damage, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, fire, earthquake or any other similar acts of force majeure.
  • Repair or replacement may involve Design Warehouse providing parts directly to our customer where applicable. Design Warehouse may ship any replacement parts for the furniture in cases where it’s determined the customer can easily make the repair. To claim repairs or parts under warranty please email us at customerservice@designwarehouse.co.nz and notify us of any issues.
  • We may ask that photographs be provided to us via email, so that we can determine the extent of any defect and take any corrective action required.
  • This warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the furniture with proof of purchase.

Returns Process for Defective Items

Legal Compliance

These terms are intended to comply with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit or replace your rights under these acts.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to update these terms. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes agreement to the new terms.

Copyright and Trademarks

All content on this site is the property of Design Warehouse and protected by international copyright laws. Trademarks of Design Warehouse may not be used without permission.

Site Policies and Modifications

We reserve the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these terms at any time.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Design Warehouse against claims arising from your use of the website.

Severability

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, it does not affect the enforceability of the remaining terms.
